OUR MISSION IS TO CONNECT YOUTH WITH THE OCEAN AND ADVENTURE.
TOGETHER WITH DEVELOPING SUSTAINABILITY AND SUPPORTING AND PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT.

ATLANTIC Youth Trust connects young people with the ocean and adventure.

And now, emerging from COVID with youth mental health issues, we are needed more than ever as we finalize our New Ship funding package.

We do so in the spirit of excellence, sustainability, and adventure around the World – and as an Irish North-South / East-West maritime development, tourism, youth development, trade, and cultural integration charity.  We strive to deliver a top voyage programme through the “STV Grace O’Malley” Tallship.  And to build our ATLANTIC Youth  Club, our Academy.

Our ship will replace the Asgard II (ROI based) and the Lord Rank (NI based). Currently, the ATLANTIC YOUTH TRUST is finalising our public/private funding package.

Local and global research has brought the Trust to where it is today. Over 25 organisations, youth and educational experts, naval representatives, and tourism professionals were consulted. And now we are confident we have the best long-term World Class solution for the Island of Ireland. It will be operated to a high level of professionalism for our youth to benefit for generations to come.

***AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY***

To support sail training on an Irish Square Rigged sailing ship and become part of a very exciting project and community on the team of ATLANTIC YOUTH TRUST.

Atlantic Youth Trust will shortly deliver their new vessel The Grace O’Malley to Ireland. We have a requirement for the crew of all ranks to help deliver the ship and sail during the summer and into the future. The ideal candidate would have square-rigged sail training experience, but all suitably qualified parties will be considered.

We need Masters, Chief Officers, Second Officers, Engineers, Deck Crew, and Cooks. We also seek volunteers to support this new project in any way that you think you can help.

Please email your CV and Covering letter explaining your experience, your STCW certification, availability, and interest in sail training to jointheteam@atlanticyouthtrust.org
